Tommy's Margarita

A simple blend of Tequila, lime juice, and agave syrup was invented by Julio Bermejo at Tommy's Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco in the 1990s. Agave syrup wasn't as common back then as it is now, but the cocktail's popularity increased and continues today.

What's the difference between Tommy's Margarita and Classic Margarita? Tommy's Margarita Instead of being made with Tequila, triple sec, and lime juice, it's made with Tequila, agave syrup, and lime juice. The Agave Syrup gives more flavour to the Tequila you are using and make it slightly sweeter, rather than a bit more sour like the Classic


Tequila 60ml

Agave Syrup 15ml

Fresh Lime juice 30ml

Salt rim the glass, make sure there's no salt inside of your rock glass. Add all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake well.

Fine strain over ice into a rocks glass. Agave Nectar: You can easily find it at any supermarket or buy it online. Tequila bottles: El Jimador, Patron Silver, Ocho Tequila, Herradura, Aqua Riva, Altos, 1800 and Cenote. Doing a house party?

Pre-batched Tommy's Margarita: 700ml Tequila (1blt) 300ml Fresh lime juice 150ml Agave Nectar Batch all the ingredients in a big jug and add some ice. Serve 100ml to 120ml each glass.
